BUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW STARTS WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENT.

The Cliff Training Ground

Rayner Rowen were appointed to replace the existing indoor synthetic sports pitch at the The Cliff Training Ground for Manchester United Football Club.

The pitch had been damaged due to the degradation of the existing land drainage below the pitch due to the ingress of the tree roots which was in turn causing the pitch to flood following heavy rains.

The scope of our works was to remove the existing pitch complete including the shock pad and sub-base layers along with the existing drainage which was damaged. We introduced a root barrier to the perimeter of the building to prevent the re-occurrence of the problem and then installed new below ground drainage including connections to the rainwater drainage and then completed the works with the installation of a new 4G sports surface.
